Elise Winters is a published author and has trained teachers across the North America and Great Britain. She has been teaching for more than two decades and her students have gone on to positions in major orchestras in the United States.
Emily Rolka, Violin
Born and raised in Michigan, Emily Rolka received a Bachelor of Music degree in violin performance from the University of Michigan and Doctoral of Musical Arts from the University of Minnesota, with long-term Suzuki teacher training for Books 1-10.
Kay Mueller, Violin
Originally from Missouri, Kay Mueller received a Master of Music Performance at Southern Illinois University with an emphasis on Suzuki pedagogy, studying with John Kendall, the first teacher to bring Suzuki to the United States from Japan in the early 1960s. With more than four decades of teaching experience, Kay has taught at summer Suzuki institutes in Steven’s Point, WI; Greenville, NC; Georgetown, TX; and San Marcos, TX.
